How to reduce boot time in windows 10.

Windows 10 is an awesome operating system. The boot time is reduced a lot by introduction of 'Fast Startup' option. But still, as you continue to use your computer, it becomes slow and takes a long time to boot up. So, here are a few tips on how to reduce the boot time of windows 10.


1. Reduce startup items.

1. Right click the taskbar.
2. From the menu, select Task Manager option.
3. After the window opens, go to the 'Startup' tab. You will see a lot of processes there.
4. Select the ones that are unnecessary and disable them by right clicking the service and selecting the disable option.

2.Enable Fast Startup option.

1. Go to control panel.
2. Select the 'Power' option.
3. From the sidebar, select "Choose what the power buttons do".
4. In the window that appears, click on the option "Change settings that are currently unavailable". You might be asked to grant admin permission for that.
5. Turn on the 'Fast Startup' option.
6. Click on Save.

3.Reduce time taken to show list of operating systems.


1. Right click on This PC icon on your desktop.
2. Go to Properties.
3. In the settings window that appears, scroll down and click the 'Advanced Settings' link.
4. Now in the advanced settings window, click on 'settings' under the 'Startup an Recovery' section.
5. In the window that appears, change the value of "Time to display list of operating system" from 30seconds to 10 seconds, or if you have a single operating system on your machine, you can uncheck the checkbox.
6. Click on OK to close the window.
